Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. Prntr is operated by Malton Coachworks, a company registered in England and Wales with number 08852418, whose registered office is Showfield Lane. Malton Coachworks is the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number if you give one, and the details of your order.
  • Your image: the file you upload, with its name and pixel size. It is stored privately on our server and is never published.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address, your message and, if you attach it, your quote.
  • If you create an account: your login details and your order history.
  • Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

  • To print, deliver and support your order. This is necessary for our contract with you.
  • To keep accounting and tax records, which the law requires.
  • To reply to your messages, prevent fraud and keep the website secure. These are our legitimate interests.

We do not use your image for anything other than printing your order, and we never sell your information or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Images that are uploaded but not ordered are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Images on an order are kept with that order, so we can reprint or deal with a fault. Ask us at any time and we will delete yours, unless your order is still in progress.
  • Order and payment records are kept for six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK law requires.
  • Messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each needs: our payment provider, our delivery company, our website host and our email service. Some of these may process information outside the UK; where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the basket, checkout and your account to work. Our payment provider may set its own cookies at checkout to prevent fraud. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add any analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use or send it to you in a portable format. To do any of these, use the contact form on our main page. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
